Safety marking films for skip containers as well as most vehicle markings correspond to retroreflectivity class RA2, while vehicles for special purposes – fire engines, rescue services etc – provide even more visibility at night and correspond to class RA3.
Some reflective films are equipped with integrated microprisms which reflect incident light between various mirror surfaces before casting it back to its source. This type of construction is called type C and offers wide-angle reflectivity. Construction types A and B have glass beads instead of microprisms, making the film more flexible.
